Amanda J. Hicks among CSC scholarship recipients

Amanda J. Hicks of Valentine is one of many students who have been selected for scholarship assistance to attend Chadron State College this fall.

Hicks, who plans to study wildlife biology, has been awarded the Eagle Presidential Scholarship and Ralph & Claire (Baker) Shipp Endowed Scholarship. The Eagle Presidential Scholarship, which is awarded based on academic merit, pays half tuition for four years, a total value of $8.652. The Ralph & Claire (Baker) Shipp Endowed Scholarship is one of many awards made possible by generous donors to the Chadron State Foundation.

Hicks will graduate from Valentine High School this spring. She is the daughter of Steven and Jennifer Hicks.
