Courtney Simants Honored at CSC's Ivy Day

Courtney Simants of North Platte, Neb., was among the recent Chadron State College graduates who were in the spotlight during the annual Ivy Day ceremony. The event was in Memorial Hall on the eve of graduation, Friday, May 4.

Simants received the certificate of merit for studies in regional elementary education.

Ivy Day, which is sponsored by the CSC chapters of the Blue Key and Cardinal Key honor societies, provides recognition to graduates for outstanding work in their respective fields of study and extracurricular activities. Outstanding graduates of this May and December 2011 were honored.

Graduates who received one of the honor designations -- cum laude, magna cum laude and summa cum laude -- were also given recognition at the event.
