Landon Vacha participates in the High Plains Band and Choir Festival

Landon Vacha, a student at Gering, attended the 42nd annual High Plains Band and Choir Festival at Chadron State College. Instrumental and vocal rehearsals and clinics led by CSC faculty, students and the guest conductor on Monday and Tuesday culminated in a concert Tuesday evening. Vacha's specialty is percussion and Vacha also participated in the festival band. The conductors for the event included CSC faculty members Dr. Una Taylor, Dr. Michael Stephens, Dr. Sidney Shuler and Guest Honor Band Conductor Dr. Mark Simmons, director of choral activities and associate professor of music at the University of Tennessee since 2004.
