Lauren Morris cast in 'Charlie Brown' at CSC

Lauren Morris of Denver is among the cast members starring in the Chadron State College theatre program's upcoming production of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown."

Six students will play the parts of the timeless characters created by Charles Schulz in his comic strip, "Peanuts." The play will run Oct. 6-9 in the Memorial Hall auditorium. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday.

Morris, a freshman studying vocal performance and psychology, is playing the role of Sally. This is her first production at CSC. She is the daughter of Lisa Morris of Denver and Ray Morris of Centennial. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 2011.

Roger Mays, the play's director, said the story is perfect for children and their parents, and no less ideal for college students.
