Misty Beutler Among CSC Scholarship Recipients

Misty Beutler of Sidney, Neb., has been selected to receive scholarship assistance to attend Chadron State College this fall.

Beutler has been awarded the quarter-tuition Bronze Presidential Scholarship and the $500 Elta and George Spencer-Thompson Scholarship. The Bronze Presidential Scholarship, which is awarded to transfer students based on academic merit, pays one-fourth tuition for two years, an approximate value of $4,400. The Elta and George Spencer-Thompson Scholarship is one of many awards made possible by generous donors to the Chadron State Foundation.

Beutler, a junior studying criminal justice at CSC, graduated from Sidney High School in 2009 and also attended Western Nebraska Community College. She is the daughter of Roy G. and Janice E. Hayes of Commerce City, Colo.
