Taylor Sandven participates in the High Plains Band and Choir Festival

Taylor Sandven, a student at Hill City, attended the 42nd annual High Plains Band and Choir Festival at Chadron State College. Instrumental and vocal rehearsals and clinics led by CSC faculty, students and the guest conductor on Monday and Tuesday culminated in a concert Tuesday evening. Sandven's specialty is 2nd flute and Sandven also participated in the honor band. The conductors for the event included CSC faculty members Dr. Una Taylor, Dr. Michael Stephens, Dr. Sidney Shuler and Guest Honor Band Conductor Dr. Mark Simmons, director of choral activities and associate professor of music at the University of Tennessee since 2004.
