The Chadron State College Athletes of the Week are Mel Herl and Chris Cutcher.

Herl, a junior from Eaton, Colorado, threw a personal best mark of 60-feet, 10 3/4 -inches Saturday in the Joe Davis Open at the Colorado School of Mines. Her winning toss was a 15-inch personal record, and currently sits her ninth in the nation.

Cutcher, a sophomore from Colorado Springs, Colorado, won the men's 60 meter hurdles in a personal record time of 8.01 second. Cutcher currently sits 13th in the nation in the event.
