Meet CSC Ambassador Carter Rohrich

Pierce native plans to become an educator

Chadron, NE (02/13/2024) — CHADRON - Chadron State College senior Carter Rohrich of Pierce, Nebraska, is an Admissions Ambassador who provides tours for prospective students and their families when they visit the CSC campus.

Rohrich has qualified for the President's List every semester during his undergraduate career.

He plans to become a high school social studies teacher.

"The Education department has helped prepare me for my future career as an educator. The Health Physical Education and Recreation department has also allowed me to build a solid skill set towards coaching which will help with my future career endeavors," Rohrich said.

While at CSC, he has participated in intramural activities such as dodgeball and cornhole.

As a member of the Education Club and Blue Key, he participated in the Homecoming parade handing out candy to parade-goers.

"College should be filled with fun and fulfilling experiences and Chadron State College has definitely provided that for me," Rohrich said. "The most impactful and fulfilling community service work I have completed has been participating in The Big Event for three years. I have planted trees near the college and cleaned up trash in the community."

Rohrich enjoys hiking, playing frisbee golf, fishing, and hunting. While a CSC student, he has explored ponds and lakes around Chadron, Crawford, Fort Robinson, Whitney, and Hay Springs.
